Spirit FM says…
“Visiting Louise and Darren for the first time we felt slightly apprehensive. However, they have created such a friendly and relaxed environment, and were so welcoming, that we were instantly at ease. Achieving the perfect balance between solemnity and humanity, you simply couldn’t ask for a more caring or better-resourced team to look after you and your family at this most difficult of times. And while money can be a taboo subject when dealing with a funeral, we were very impressed with the no-nonsense and practical help that Oaklands can provide in relation to pre-paid plans, living wills, and funeral wishes plans.”

"I have to say a heartfelt thank you to all the team at Oaklands for making our Farewell Service to my Mum so special. Everything went perfectly and I thank you for your recommendations, incumbent, James, being able to hold our service in the beautiful little chapel on your premises & the compassion & diginity you showed right from the first phone call, through to my Mums final little service at the crematorium. I had so many lovely comments from everyone saying how well it all went, and what a wonderful send off it was for my mum.
Thank you again for your kindness and understanding - it was really appreciated.
We couldn't have asked for more.

Hi, I just thought I woud give you some feedback. I saw D.S. today in relation to his late wife. I have known Dennis for some years and was so sad to hear about Doris passing away. Dennis explained about how he had been to see her after she had died and he cried when he told me how beautiful she looked with her nails painted and a lovely "going out" outfit on. He said he had been worried about seeing her as he had seen his father in law and his son after they had died and his lasting memory of them was that image, but he was glad he had been as his memory of her now was beautiful. I just thought we don't give feedback enough so I would email you!
On a person note i attended CS funeral in January at his home. You made a what was an extremely difficult time, seamless and beautiful.

"To the ladies at Oaklands Funeral,
Just a thank you for all the kindness and consideration you showed to my daughter and myself in the way that Barry's funeral was conducted, and before and after the service, in as much that each time we met up, you knew our names and what we were coming for.
Where the service was held in the little room, was just so nice as it was private and serene, and everybody that attended said how unusual it was just to have a memorial reading with no hymns and prayers.
Thank you once again.

Dear Louise and all at Oaklands,
A heartfelt thank you for all you did to contribute to my father's funeral which we all thought could not have been more perfect. The pallbearers were so helpful,
respectful and dignified. Your recommendation of James to lead the service was much appreciated and he was most supportive and conducted the service beautifully.
The flowers too were just lovely. The casket was much admired. We could not have wished for a better day in the circumstances and I think our father would have
been pleased and proud of his send off.

As you know, arranging the funeral was difficult for L and me as we were not B's relatives and there were no close family to consult so we had to plough our own furrow.
Your advice was invaluable and nothing was too much trouble for you. We had a few qualms before the funeral, especially about the recorded music, and you reassured us that it would
turn out fine. Well it did not turn out fine: it turned out ecellently. The music on the CD that you produced came across splendidly and although there were 20 in the congregation we needed the extra voices. Your recommendation for the funeral director on the day was a perfect choice: she was so comforting and organised us all in a gentle and unassuming manner (and so smart too!). You must be very proud of your Mum as she clearly is of you. B would undoubtedly have approved of having a woman funeral director and minister at her funeral.
Karen Young from St Paul's also did a wonderful job. Even though we gave her some notes it requires a great talent to be able to stand before strangers and talk about someone that one has never met with great sincerity.
L and I came home and agreed that the funeral could not have been bettered.
We are so pleased that we entrusted the funeral to Oaklands who seem to have found the perfect blend of professionalism and friendliness. Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for your kindness you showed us when organising mum's funeral.
Also your recommendation to use Neil Sagar- Stewart was perfect, the service was very personal and lovely.
Again Kim & I really appreciate the way everything was dealt with. We would certainly recommend Oaklands Funeral Service to friends etc.

You helped us give mum the celebration shw would have wished for ...... and more besides. Instead of a sad, sombre affair our memories of that day will forever be
colourful, happy, fund and full of her energy!! :)

Thank you so much for all your hard work. Your drivers and Dave were wonderful we could not have asked for more. The doves were a lovely finish and enjoyed by all. Jane
Blackman was amazing and would definitely recommend her it was like having a family member take the service.
